Here are some easy, fun and quick tips for Holiday Hosting:

AND, Host without stress!

  1. Start with your entrance!  Pretty up the space with a beautiful wreath or some twinkly lights!

Just by doing that- hints of the delights to come.

2. Have a tray of pre-made drinks both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, on the ready.

If you’re keen, choose a cocktail that you can make easily or have available in advance.

3. Preset the Dining Table with seasonal linens, glassware, flatware and décor.

Pro Tip: Add inexpensive and pretty florals or greenery to the table.

4. Choose warm ambient lighting to set the mood.  Candles and low lanterns will reflect light and give your space an inviting glow!  It also makes everyone look good!

5. Put on your favourite chill music.  If Christmas tunes aren’t your thing, no worries!  Anything relaxing will do!

6. Whatever your menu- set it out in advance.

Put your pre-made, or pre-purchased items in fancy vessels and make your spread as lavish as your budget allows.  If you’re doing appetizers only, put them out on a charcuterie board or place your chips and dip in something special.

7. Making food easy and accessible allows great mingling and flow.

Hot and Cold Bevvie Station is a must!  Not everyone likes a cold drink on an icy winter’s night, so it’s nice to offer something warm in the form of a mulled cider or wine.

If kids are apart of your evening, you can even do a Hot Chocolate Station!

8. When your guests leave, after a totally amazing night, give them something small as a Hostess Gift to take away.

This is a really classy touch that shows your friends and family how much you care. I suggest something small – dare I say, handmade?
