SO… you live in a rental?  No worries! Renting doesn’t mean that you can’t or shouldn’t decorate!   Now, more than ever, it’s time to create a cool and personal space  to live, work and chill in.  Even if you have a grumpy landlord, your space should make you happy!  The focus is on vibes that are a personal reflection of who you are, and today we’re talking how to use these practical and easy design tips renters.

Painting

So easy, so affordable, and so quick to make changes with paint.  You already know this design tip for renters!  So just do it!!  I can’t even begin to talk about how the right paint colour will make you feel!  And, think about how it will improve your overall well-being!!  But if you don’t like to paint, or if you don’t need to paint, then consider adding removable wallpaper.  Lots of choices, no fuss, no mess.

Lighting

Take the ugly, old and dated lighting fixtures and change them out.  Design tip for renters, bring in new, fresh and modern updates.  Replace dark and dingy light bulbs with bright LED’s, add strip lighting under counters, or around window frames.   Stick on lights in dark spaces like closets or inside cabinets.  We’ve all seen those long cord single bulbs, and decorative string lights!    Super easy!

Hardware

Luxe knobs and pulls bring instant personality and pizazz to any door detail.  And if you like same same, match all your door knobs in the same style.  Designer Tip:  Choose the same finish on your knobs and pulls.   Carry that cohesiveness into the finish on your lighting, and taps.  Primo 😉
