Styled with Colour…

This might be way out there folks, but I’m going to talk about using COLOUR to style your space!  I know, I know!  We’re seeing tons of neutrals, beige, sages, greiges and the ever-popular, black and white.  But, to address the obvious, there’s colour all around us, and we should learn to embrace it!

Below, a warm example of choosing colour opposites on the colour wheel.

A recent project of mine was about just that- embracing colour!  My clients were not afraid to try new things, and their home went from drab to fab- seriously!  And let’s check out the vibrancy, ethnicity, and modernity found in their spaces.  It can be done simply!  And it can be done tastefully.

Here’s the styling of complimentary colours using, primarily orange and blue on sofa, coffee table and in the wall art.  Then on the bookshelves, various colours, both complementary and split complementary.  And check out the items I used for this styling project –  a great mix of eclectic, new, and vintage pieces.  So fun! Perfect for a young and active family!

Light coloured or neutral walls (seen here), are best suited to little bursts of colour in these collected ceramics, plants, souvenirs,  books and more!  So ideal for any collections you want to show off, or displays you’re working on.
